ON THE ROAD WITH R&R
...
Since being founded in 1987 - R&R
has renovated, repositioned or managed nearly 70 full and limited
service hotels consisting of over 10,000 hotel rooms.
The company's founders, Russell Dazzio
and Roland Moritz, met in 1982 opening the Sheraton Grande - Los
Angeles (now a Marriott). While working at the Grande, they
helped set in place many of the standards of excellence Starwood
Hotels would later employ for its "Luxury Collection."
The creative marketing and management principles they introduced
to the Grande played an integral role in the hotel becoming the
most successful opening in the history of the Sheraton Corporation.
At the zenith of their careers, Dazzio
and Moritz left Sheraton to form R&R and shortly thereafter
were awarded the contract to manage the prestigious Huntington Hotel
and Cottages - Pasadena. The Huntington opened the door to
a stream of challenging assignments. Six short years later,
R&R gained national prominence when Hotel Business Magazine
gave them a first place ranking in their annual Top 100 Management
Companies Survey.* As the next few pages underscore, a succession
of career enhancing assignments has taken R&R everywhere from
creating a Dude Ranch concept in Montana, to building a "five
star" Resort in the remote jungles of China.
