ROLAND
MORITZ |
Mr. Moritz is President and
co-founder of R&R Hotel Group and is responsible for all company
property operations.
A native of Germany, Mr. Moritz was
educated in Munich and the United Kingdom. After gaining
international experience in several of Europe's most exclusive restaurants
and hotels, he relocated to the United States.
His career flourished after completing
successful executive assignments for the Marriott Corporation in
St. Louis and New Orleans.
In 1982 Moritz accepted a position
with the Sheraton Corporation as Los Angeles Area Director of Food
and Beverage.
At Sheraton, he set policy for many
Sheraton restaurants, helped launch the careers of more than a dozen
nationally acclaimed Chefs and F&B managers and became widely
recognized as one of the sources that inspired the now familiar
term, "California Cuisine."
He later went on to hold key management
positions in Los Angeles at Merv Griffin's Beverly Hilton Hotel,
the Sheraton Universal and Sheraton Premiere Hotel (Now a Hilton).
After co-founding R&R, Roland
Moritz put to use his lifetime of hospitality experience to lead
the company into becoming one of the nation's best hotel "turn
around specialists."
His many awards include, Los Angeles
Restaurant Writers "Best New Restaurant," National Restaurant
Association "Best Menu Award" and numerous Travel Holiday
awards.
